There is a sheela in place over the south window with evidence of recent veneration and it is quite an unusual setting in the way it fits to the window top with the legs akimbo (who said that). In fact everything nearby has been etched by pilgrims with a cross as part of the Pattern Day rituals.

From Farranfore take the Scartaglin road for 4.7 miles, where a signpost directs you to the right, and after 1.2 miles, watch out for a wide road leading right, to the churchyard.
