You have several High Crosses to choose from at this monastic site, but you will have no difficulty picking out the best one….Muiredach’s Cross
The sheelalike figure you are looking for is on the East side of this 10th century Cross but you will have to agree it falls a long way short of being a sheelanagig.
But enjoy the panels and try to identify Adam & Eve, Moses striking the rock, Doubting Thomas and the Flight into Egypt.
Monasterboice went into decline when the Cistercians founded Mellifont a few kilometres away. More
