Ballinacarriga

Ballinacarriga Castle, Co. Cork

Located high up above the door and to the right, on the East Wall of this 16th century Castle which is just starting to deteriorate, is this sheela which has many well defined features.

This castle was also used as a church and has other religious carvings inside. You can just see a few around the door.

Key available locally at the old Lyons tea shop (the pink one)
