Moate Castle, Co. Westmeath
Castle is a bit of a misnomer for this large country house but you can still find the sheela in place to the rear of the building—-with a little difficulty.

The Castle is situated at the narrow section of the Dublin road as it enters Moate village but difficult to see behind a very large grey wall.
You could try knocking on the door of the castle but the lady is very old and may not reply.
There is a large pub on your right as you enter the town and it was usual to climb over the wall to the rear of the car park. I still have the bruises to prove it.
Instead go back towards Dublin and take the next turn left to a gate and head straight across the field towards the rear of the building.
