The portion of the old Town Wall in question is on Slibhnamon Road, on the back (North) wall of Pat Lyons Tyre and Battery centre (100m from the square) and the figure is at 3m above the ground. Business hours only. You can drive in, naturally, even if you don’t have a puncture.
Be prepared to do a bit of gardening as the ivy grows over every year. You could also visit Thurles Famine Museum on St. Mary’s Avenue to see many more interesting finds.
